A cultural and bohemian Infusion…

I first met the very lovely Martin and Pianpian at the stunning Basing house, this was my first wedding fayre and I could not have met a more perfect couple for my first large wedding booking, I will be forever grateful our paths crossed that day. Pianpian had the most incredible vison for her big day, one that envisioned a cultural infusion of their vibrant Chinese culture with a dash of boho magic to compliment the rustic Basing House barn venue.

This wedding showcased the beauty of encompassing the theme and décor of your big day around your personality, drawing from cultural traditions. The vibrant reds complimented by the piercing bright pink whilst dancing with the delicate tones of blush and cornflower blue. The traditional elements such as the Chinese China sourced by the bride and filled with stunning floral designs by the very talented The Wild Garden Florist, added to the layers of cultural references whilst creating a stunning vibrant aesthetic, all whilst showcasing the bride and grooms roots, a true expression of their love story.

The seating plan was really one of the stars of the show for us, our bohemian shelf looked perfect styled with traditional Chinese China, stunning florals and dressed with delicate foliage to frame. We think this is a shining example of how seating plans can become a feature and integral part of your wedding décor rather than just a functional tool.

Basing House made for a beautiful back drop with their breathtakingly high ceilings adding such grand opulence yet still rustic charm. The celling was adorned with red lanterns, adding to the grandeur of the Chinese banquet wedding breakfast and allowing for the most clever use of space, a treat for the eye where ever you looked!

As well as helping to source props, we also provided our styling service on the day, setting up our items as well as those of the bride and groom, allowing their set up to run as smoothly as possible. We worked with a host of very talented suppliers on this project including stunning floral designs by The Wild Garden Florist. The beautiful cake was provided by The Maple Wood Bakery and the photographer for the day was the incredible SL Photo and Film.

This whole wedding vibe was something new and exciting for us and we loved every moment of working with this couple to bring their truly beautiful vison to life!
